The Folsom Garden Club is a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization welcoming anyone interested in our objectives. The mission of our Club is to educate and foster relationships among people who have a love of horticulture and to promote beautification of the City of Folsom.
The Folsom Garden Club was established in 1934.Speakers at monthly meetings, field trips, and other activities help to educate members about gardening.
The club is a member of these hierarchical garden club organizations: Sacramento River Valley District, California Garden Clubs, Inc., Pacific Region Garden Clubs, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc.
The annual tour of Folsom residential gardens raises money for college scholarships and provides grants to schools and local groups for beautification and ongoing educational programs.
Our business meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 10:00 AM, at the Rotary Club House, Lew Howard Park, 7150 Baldwin Dam Road, Folsom, CA. Most meetings include a speaker, garden question and answer session, book exchange, raffle, Penny Pines collection, and beverages plus snacks. The December and June business meetings include a potluck luncheon.
Dirt Gardener events are usually held on the third Thursday of the month at 10:00 AM, with occasional exceptions, so check the event listing for specifics.
There are no business meetings or Dirt Gardener events during the months of July and August.
