Speakers at our business meetings expand our horizons by educating us on wide variety of horticultural topics.
Dirt Gardener Events include field trips, craft workshops, practical gardening demonstrations, and private garden tours of members’ gardens. There’s something of interest for everyone.
Through our monthly Book Club, we read a wide variety of genres, all focused on
gardening. We maintain a lending library of gardening-related fiction and non fiction
books.
Our biggest club activity is the annual Garden Tour, the Gardens of Folsom. Folsom’s premier horticultural event, held annually the last weekend of April, offers both entertainment and education to the community. Full member participation is required to present this amazing event.
Garden Question and Answer Time: members bring their questions to be answered during the Plant of the Month portion of our business meetings. We share our gardening challenges and information.
Communications: the essential glue that keeps us in synch and focused. In addition to what’s communicated at meetings, we also use our newsletter, eblasts, Facebook, and website for this vital activity.
Monthly Raffle: we hold raffles with member donated items during our business meetings to raise funds for our projects. Fun + fundraising!
Committees, we have a lot of them. It takes many hands to accomplish our mission, and our work is powered by members who share their time and skills. This is where the nitty gritty work gets done, plans become reality, and friendships are forged.
